Hobbies: Photography, computers, surfing the net, stamps, coins, bike riding, View Master collecting, archery, bird watching, and enjoying nature especially in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I also get very emotional when I listen to the serene sounds of keyboardist Suzanne Cianni who wrote and performs the "Velocity Of Love". | ||
Other Stuff: Kristina was one of 5 founders of the Hamilton Chess Club. The meetings were actually held at her house for the first several months of the organization back in 1980 & 1981.
Kristina retired from the New Jersey Department of Transportation with nearly 33 years of service on 12-31-98. The time was spent in the Right Of Way Division, which is responsible for the acquisition of lands needed for highway improvements. She was particularly happy to be 53 years old at that time. Now she can play all day! Ha!
Since retiring she has involved herself in many activities that she deeply believes in. Kristina is the webperson for this Hamilton Chess Club page, the Color Slide Division of PSA, DOTRA - the official retirement group of the NJ Dept. Of Transportation, her own personal pages and several support groups. Photography is still a very important and almost daily part of her life.
Her ultimate desire is to live somewhere in New England - preferably Vermont or New Hampshire and do a photographic essay of life in New England in the 2000's.
Kristina currently lives in Cranbury, which is a very untypical town for NJ. It is very New Englandesque for its location in Central New Jersey. As of March 2003 Kristina has gone back to work Part Time at the local Lindt Chocolate Store on Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ. Stop in to see her and talk Chocolate or Chess on Monday, Wednesday or Fridays.
